|How effective is lbalizumab for hiv treatment ???

Hi Dr Keith, you are my hero and shining light, l have developed resistance to my meds and my doctor has mentioned lbalizumab which is taken by iv every two weeks,
please tell me what you know about this treatment...

It is unusual to have such severe resistance that none of the available anti-HIV drugs is active (such as darunavir, raltegravir,etravirine, maraviroc, or Fuzeon). The drug you mentioned is an investigational monoclonal antibody that has anti-HIV activity. Ideally if it was used in a new regimen in the context of a research study it would be combined with several other active anti-HIV drugs to increase the chances for long term success. Data on long term effectiveness is still minimal. KH
