| Best HIV treatment during pregnancy Feb 10, 2010 I have been on atripla for 2yrs. Am planning to conceive anytime now. My viral load is <50 and CD4 > 400. I understand that atripla is harmful to babies. what treatment do i switch to and when? |

Depends on other issues such as any history of resistance, liver problems, et cetera. Kaletra + Combivir is most often officially recommended though many docs use other boosted PIs (such as atazanavir, darunavir, or saquinavir) and Truvada (or Epzicom). KH | |||||||||
