| Alluvia and Truvada Jan 27, 2010 Hello, Taazmin here,I have been on Stocrin and Truvada but since I am trying to have a baby, my Dr switched my meds from Stocrin to Alluvia.Recently I have been sweating and my leg vains(swollen feet) are showing which worries me, as I had lipo three yrs ago,could this be the return?Should I can having a child.My VL is undetectable since 2004 and CD always above 700?pls help |

The risk for body fat problems with lopinavir/ritonavir + Truvada versus with efavirenz+ Truvada maybe fairly similar for most patients but some may be more susceptible with the protease inhibitor (Alluvia). If you become pregnant then would generally try to continue the Alluvia based regimen through the pregnancy and then consider switching back to an efavirenz based regimen after delivery. Need to make sure kidney/liver function is OK and well as general health evaluation with the symptoms you are experiencing. Good luck. KH | ||||||||||
