wine with atripla Dec 30, 2009 i work nights so i take my atripla in the morning after i get off work and before bed. ive been on atripla for almost 2 years. i used to drink some wine in the morning before going to bed, but since being on the meds i havent drank any wine or alchol. but i miss the relaxing feeling of the wine before bed. can i drink some wine before bed and how long do i need to wait after taking meds before drinking if i can |

 Usually still OK to have 1-2 glasses of wine with Atripla though may be more sensitive to alcohol when taking efavirenz (component of Atripla)--would let your HIV provider know so can monitor for any untoward problems. Alcohol generally should be avoided/minimized if underlying liver disease such as hepatitis C. KH | |||||||||
