| Changing Combivir to Truvada Dec 5, 2009 Hi, I've been poz since 2002, nice condition, CD4s around 700, undetectable viral load. I've been always on Combivir and Stocrin. Today, my doctor and I agreed changing Combivir to Truvada for a while, and if everything goes OK, changing Truvada and Stocrin to Atripla. After getting out of my doctor's appointment, I remembered that once we had talked about this changing, she had said something about stopping Combivir some 48 or something hours before starting Truvada. But today none of us mentioned that. Can you please answer this question for me? Exactly how many hours should I stop Combivir before strating Truvada? Thank You for your help. |

Response from Dr. Henry
It is safe to take the Truvada soon after stopping the Combivir ( OK to take within 0-12 hours). KH | |||||||||
