| Newly Diagnosed MS in HIV - where are experts? Oct 23, 2009 My partner is 42 and has been positive for 14 years, very healthy, Tcells near 1000, and undetectable for years. He's recently been diagnosed with relapsing and remitting MS. I'm a physician, and looking for the best place for him to be seen as a second opinion - someone who has experience in HIV and diagnosis/treatment of MS. Can you recommend some options for us? None of his current docs know of anyone who has done work in this area. Many thanks! |

Response from Dr. Henry
I do not know of an MS and HIV expert (not a common co-occurence so no one doctor likely to have a lot of experience with that) though there are some centers with special expertise with neuro-AIDS issues (such as Johns Hopkins, Washington University, UC-San Francisco, and Mt Sinai in NYC). If any reader has a recommendation please post. KH | ||||||||||
