Response from Dr. Henry

Depending on your prior treatment history (any resistance likely) other drugs options may be worth considering if a thorough medical evaluation doesn't help explain what else could be causing some of your major symptoms (ie vitamin deficiencies, lactose deficiency). Many of the newer drugs available are quite well tolerated including raltegravir, maraviroc, etravirine and even darunavir. More well tolerated drugs are in the pipelines as well so things are likely to get better (such as the Gilead non-ritonavir boosting drug, other integrase inhibitors and NNRTI class drugs) if you can hang on for a while.
