| Drug Screening and Stockrin Aug 28, 2009 I was wondering if there is any way for the Stockrin that I am taking to cause a false positive with a drug test that I am scheduled to take for a new job. Thanks! |

Response from Dr. Henry
Stocrine (efavirenz or Sustiva in US) can cause a false positive test for marijuana (THC). I often provide patients with a note stating that they are taking a necessary prescribed medication that can cause a false positive marijuana test. The note can either be given to a supervisor before the test or have handy in case the issue comes up after a test. KH | ||||||||||
