How to manage wholistic regimen? Aug 15, 2009 I was diagnosed as HIV positive in August, 2008. I decided to utlize a wholistic doctor in New Jersey, however I am current with my Infectious Disease doctor. He is well aware of the regimen. Recently my wholistic doctor told me that my next regimen would cost including consultation $921.99. I have spent hundreds of dollars on flights, hotel, and regimens for the past four months. I don't think that I can continue even though I have seen my virile load change and CD-4. Do I have to do the meds? |

 There is no clear published evidence that any holistic regimen has a clinically significant effect on CD4 count and HIV levels (those levels vary quite a bit so often need well designed study to determine a modest benefit). I would discuss the matter with your HIV specialist. KH | |||||||||
