| Creatinine level at 1.4 Jul 12, 2009 I recently got my quarterly panel. My Tcells were well over 800 and I am undetectable. I have been on Reyataz, Truvada and Norvir for about 1 year now. My labs came back with a creatinine level of 1.4. Since I remember, like 8 years now, my level is always around 1.1 or 1.2. Do I have something wrong with my kidneys? My PCP told me that he could do another blood test or have me do a 24hr urine screen. He said it was up to me or we could wait and check it again in three months to see what the score is. Your recommendations? |

Response from Dr. Henry
Getting a 24 hour creatinine clearance test as well as looking for urine protein levels and checking levels such as phosphorous useful measures to assess renal function and determine if tenofovir is causing some renal tubular damage. KH | |||||||||
