Atripla and Calcium Carbonate (Tums/Rolaids)
Jul 3, 2009

Is it safe to take Tums while on Atripla?

I have had a flu for a few days and got worried and have been taking tylenol for it along with my Atripla. My doc said that if it got worse to take Bactrim as a preventive measure. Only took it for three days along with the tylenol.

Have stopped now and feel better but have woken up with acid relux un the stomach. Is it safe to take Tums while on atripla?

Was it safe to take those other pills aswell?

Thanx a lot!

J

Response from Dr. Henry

Generally OK to take modest doses of those pills with Atripla. KH
