| Just found out I had aids Jul 3, 2009 On 4-30-09 I found out I had HIV+. I did not go for help. I keep myself away from everybody. I was so depressed and couldn't eat anything except drinking ensure, B12-1000mcg for streght, C-1000mcg for not catch a cold. Now I found out C-1000mcg have a lot acid that could damaged your teeth. On 6-12-09 I go in to see a doctor for treatment. On 6-29-09 before my next appointment I have a high fever and I don't know if I could take fever meds because I have HIV+. My doctor prescribed this medication sulfamethoxazole with trimethoprim for bacterial infection and pneumonia, metronidazole to stop the growth of bacteria, megestorol suspension for appetite it works right away, acetaminophen for fever and chest x-ray. My doctor say that my immune system is low and need another blood sample. When I go to another building for chest X-Ray, that's when I found out I had aids on X-RAY's paper my vial load 35,400 or 354,400 and t-cell 112. I know that my doctor doesn't want to tell me the bad news. I want to know is it treatable or do I have a very good chance on treatment or I'm I too late because my next appointment is 8-28-09 that's like two month. My fever keep coming back every 3.5 to 5 hours and it been 3 days or should I go to the emergency. How long do I live with treatment or without treatment. Please response ASAP Thank you so much |

Response from Dr. Henry
Treatment can be very effective at restoring and protecting the health of AIDS pxs such as yourself. I would be insistent to be seen in clinic for further evaluation and to start antiretroviral therapy sooner rather than later. KH | ||||||||||
