|Does being lean reduce the chances for lypoatrophy/distrophy?
Jun 24, 2009
I have recently started Atripla- so far so good. I stop eating snacking at 8PM and take the pill around 10. As a result of eating sensibly, not munching at night and reducing my beer intake, I'm becoming more lean. I am wondering if it makes sense to be as lean as possible to reduce the possible lypo side effects that may come with Atripla.

Fat increase has generally been modest on Atripla. I haven't seen a good study examining effect of diet on fat gain with Atripla so cannot be confident that diet will effectively blunt any possible fat gain from Atripla but common sense tells me that it might help for some patients. KH
