body fat loss

I have been on rayataz for 5 yrs with combavir and i have noticed that i have lost body fat. I have regular check ups with my hiv dr. and stats are good. Can you tell me if this med is the cause. How do you change this. i am very self continous about this.

The AZT in Combivir may contribute to fat loss so a switch to Truvada (need to boost the atazanvir with ritonavir in that acase) or Epzicom is recommended (such a switch may slowly stabilize and/or reverse the fat loss in many patients). A good clinical evaluation for any other contributing problems is recommended as well. KH
