Herbal Interactions With Meds Mar 18, 2009 I am taking Reyataz, Truvada, and Norvir. Is there any incompatibility with herbs such as Pau D' Arco and my meds. Are my meds less effective if I take this Herb? |

 I have seen no data on use of Pau D'Arco with HIV meds. I would not generally expect much of an interaction but informing your HIV specialist and monitoring is recommended. See below for comments from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center website: Warnings Some constituents may have toxic effects. The effectiveness of Pau d'arco for the treatment of cancer in humans remains unproven. top Adverse Reactions Reported: Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, anemia, bleeding, and discoloration of urine (16). top Herb-Drug Interactions Anticoagulants: Pau d'arco may potentiate effects (17).
