sustiva, truvada and valtrex

Hello Doctor Henry, my partner takes truvada and sustiva, his cd4 count is 261.Is it possible for him to take valtex for a cold sore? If so, how much should he take per day? many thanks

OK to take Valtrex with Truvada/Sustuva. Typical dose is 1000-2000 mg every 12 hours for one day for active lesion and 500 mg to prevent recurrence. KH
