Bad Cholesterol... HELP Feb 20, 2009 I just got my blood test lab results back and my Cholesterol Total was 244, Triglyceries 601, HDL 36 and T.Chol/HDL Ratio 6.8 I've always had borderline high cholesterol but this seems way out there! I'm on 30 years old 5'8 155lbs. Everyone on my dad's side including my dad is all on cholesterol medicine. With this high of levels should I be on a medicine to control it? I have an appointment with my DR. next week, but just want to get a feel for what everyone else thinks. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks....Melinda |

 You don't mention which HIV meds you are taking and what the LDL level is. Much of your cholesterol increase likely due to the VLDL or triglyceride rich fraction. KH | |||||||||
