Because of the extremely toxic effects of the anti-retrovirals at cellular levels, is it possible that the next generation of anti-retroviral therapy could be genetically affected?

New HIV drug development is focusing on drugs anticipated to have little cellular toxicity as a criteria for further development. Many of the newer HIV drugs now available actually appear to have little in the way of cellular toxicity and in fact are well tolerated by most patients. KH
