| Can a person with HIV get plastic surgery? Feb 4, 2009 Hello, I am 27 years old and in serious need of a nose job. I am afraid to go into a PS office because I may be turned away and that can be embarrasing. I am healthy untedected VL and ok T cell count. I heard that no PS will operate on a person with HIV, is that true? Help!! Also, Is it ok for me to get botox? |

Response from Dr. Henry
Yes HIV+ persons generally do well with surgery (and botox). We have had HIV+ patients undergo a wide range of procedures both elective and emergency with good outcomes (including numerous plastic surgeries). KH | ||||||||||
