im a 38 year old guy an HIV positive . i have been taking ARV's and im nom developing breast. please help

Response from Dr. Henry

Gynecomastia is seen in HIV- men but may be more common in HIV+ persons. There is not a clear linkage to many of the newer HIV regimen. The condition can have other causes such as hormone abnormalities, cancer (even in men) , so an evaluation/work up is recommended. Whether your HIV drugs are contributing depends partly on which meds you are taking though I am not confident that switching meds will necessarily lead to definite improvement. KH
