I carefully researched the use of high doses of sodium ascorbate-vitamin C will help pro long life for AIDS patients and preventing/curing other oppurtunistic infections.try to check one of the articles : http://www.doctoryourself.com/aids_cathcart.html how effective is vitamin C-ascorbate in an advance stage? im already on my AIDS stage and im currently taking 1000mg of Soduim ascorbate-C a DAY.Would it be advisable to use it up to 2000mg per day? whats your opinion on this. i just would like to share that from the time i started taking natural vitamin c - ascorbate not the acid type- i feel strong and better.is there a statistical study that proves to this? please enlighten us.

There is no study that has demonstrated a clinical benefit from high dose vitamin C on HIV infection. Many patients in the pre-HAART era took high dose vitamin C without observable clinical benefit. Use of medications like vitamin C for conditions is often limited by a lack of studies (which are often fairly expensive to conduct and not usualy funded by a drug company since little $$ to be made by use of an available inexpensive medication or vitamin).
