|Treatment for lipodostrophy in the near future??
Oct 5, 2008
Hello Dr. Henry
I found this page about a trial on a new medicine against lipo:
I wonder if you know about this new product and the perspectives of success.

I haven't seen any published or presented data on the effectiveness/safety of EG500 for HIV associated lipodystrophy. If any reader is aware of any data please post. The 50 patient pilot trial has purportedly fully enrolled but no data yet available. Uridine is under study as an oral treatment of lipoatrophy among persons taking thymidine nucleoside drugs (D4T or AZT). Early results have been positive with results from more definitive trials pending. KH
