ART and Alternative medicine Jan 10, 2008 My niece has used ARVs since 2005. By then she had devloped AIDS. she also has an duodenal ulcer.She lately developed side effects such as severe abdominal pains, nausea and vomiting and a distended abdomen. she was admitted to hospital due to dehydration.She is awaiting CD4 results.Would some aloe vera juice kelp to relieve the gastric symptoms?  Admominal pain/symptoms in the setting of HIV infection can be due to a wide range of serious health problems both HIV related and unrelated. Treatment depends on the specific cause of the symptoms. Most of those problems would not be helped by aloe vera juice. KH | ||||||||
