I've been on hiv meds as long as I can remember ... I recently requested pills because I was doing so great swallowing candies and such. One got stuck in my throat and now I can't swallow them easily - are there any tricks that you can share with me for swallowing pills. I would greatly appreciate it.

Good practical question. I would be very interested in any reader's own experience with how to make pills so down more easily. For some meds moistening the throat with plenty of fluids before taking the pills helps. Some patients have told me that chocolate milk or eating some peanut butter before hand has helped thme. Some patients have trouble swallowing due to an anatomic or functional swallowing problem that may need evaluation. KH
