Fuzeon and vertigo/hydrops
Feb 6, 2007

Dear Carol, One of my patients who is taking fuzeon has been diagnosed with hydrops with persistent vertigo. Per CT scan he has dehiscent left superior semicircular canal probably present pre Fuzeon. Have you heard of anyother cases of vertigo with Fuzeon?

Response from Ms. Salisbury

Hi, I have not heard of this before, although I have a few patient's with Meniere's disease. I feel the two are not related (Fuzeon and hydrops/vertigo). It sounds like the CT scan showed some changes that could be linked to trauma or infection. I did ask my rep from Roche and she will update me on her inquiry to the medical specialist of the company. Carol
