| Complications of HIV Dec 1, 2006 My sister in her 40's is HIV+ . She has lessions that develop inside out, ie the lessions do not break the skin but leave scars on healing. What is this? |

Response from Dr. Henry
Good question. HIV+ persons can suffer from a wide variety of skin disorders which can be very aggravating. Your description doesn't clearly indicate to me what is going on. I often refer patients to a dermatologist to assist in pinpointing the diagnosis which leads to a greater chance for appropropriate effective treatment. KH | |||||||||
