|Insurance Coverage for Sculptra/NuFill
Sep 20, 2006
In response to the post inquiring about Medicaid coverage for ther facial filler Sculptra (formerly NuFill), I can tell you that in California, state law requires that Medicaid cover reconstructive procedures to restore a person's normal appearance. The law is relatively new, and I'm not aware of how the state is interpreting it. Kaiser Permanente is complying with a similar law that applies to private insurers and is covering Sculptra injections for all of its members.
Don't know if this is helpful, but it might give you a place to start.

Thanks for providing that information which is encouraging (good for Kaiser Permanente!)! KH
