|pimples on back
Sep 10, 2006
my son has had pimple looking bumps on his back only.He was informed he had hiv in may 2006. Is this a side affect. I need to known so I can help my son get the meds he needs or treatment. My son is a flight attended and I do not know if it ist the sheets he sleep on from place to place or meds or the hiv its self.

Pimple like lesions on the back can be seen in men without HIV so the link to either HIV or HIV-related medications depends on many factors. Most HIV specialists are used to evaluating skin disorders which can be conditions like acne or folliculitis or shingles and many others. I often seek consultation from a dermatologist if I am unclear as to a diagnosis or proper treatment. KH
