Gene Therapy Jun 9, 2006 I read that there are ongoing trials for AIDS gene replacement therary in california. Are there any of the same trials in the NYC area and what is your take on this new therapy that does away with pills? |

 The primary objective for a gene therapy trial can vary widely since there are many potential gene/molecular targets. Many of the gene therapy trials still involve use of antiretroviral therapy. It certainly would be nice if some form of gene therapy would make T-cells for instance resistant to HIV infection. If any reader knows of a gene therapy trial open or planned in the NYC area-please post. KH | ||||||||
