What is the average time life expectancy for a HIV positive person who does not take ny medication?

Response from Dr. Henry

In the pre-HAART or effective therapy days it was said that the average life expectancy in the US was 10-12 years. Nutritional support, prevention of opportunistic infections can often improve chances for longer term survival. With effective HIV medications started at an optimal time under the supervision of an HIV specialist(before a patient gets sick or has a CD4 count << 200) the average life expectancy is likely measured in decades.KH
