Is it true about these drugs Mar 28, 2006 After taking stocrin & combivir.someone told me that it takes a while for the drug to stop working in a system, is it true?after taking the drugs for 28 days how long does it takes for the drug to stop working in the human system? |

 The combivir will typically stop working in 1-2 days. The Stocrine will last for several weeks so stopping those meds all at once can lead to Stocrine resistance since the Combivir effect is gone after several days thus resulting on Stocrine monotherapy for a period of time leading to a risk for resistance to Stocrine to develop.
