how and when to take sustiva/truvada for hiv/adis treatment
Dec 21, 2005
hen and how should sustiva/truvada be taken for hiv/aids treatment? Can they be taken an hour or two earlier or later or they must be taken at a specific time strictly?
Response from Dr. Henry
Generally those 2 pills are taken at the same time. The timing during the day can vary depending on any side effects you experience, your sleep cycle and other factors. The timing can be adjusted and need not be fixed and can vary by several hours from day to day in most instances. Your HIV specialist and /or pharmacist can review your schedule and offer an informed suggestion as to the best time during the day for you to take your antiretroviral meds. KH
