what are some effects of HIV?

The main thing is that, left untreated it progressively weakens your body's immune system and leads to potentially life-threatening opportunistic infections. This is why we monitor infected individuals very closely to intervene with anti-HIV treatment at the best time to prevent this from occurring without exposing people to medications too soon or for longer than necessary.
