Do all HIV meds have a generic?
Oct 13, 2005
I'm just wondering if all HIV meds have a generic, as so my ins. will cover them? thank you
Response from Dr. Henry
Unfortunately, only a limited number of HIV drugs are available as a much cheaper generic. AZT, 3TC, ddI, D4T, nevirapine are among the most common drugs available as a generic in some areas of the world. In the US I believe only ddI and AZT is available in a generic form. KH
