Serostim study still available? Jul 27, 2005 Dr. Henry, in answering someone's question of Mar. 17, 2004, about using serostim, said that there would be a study coming up soon. Has that study in fact been begun? And is it possible to join the study? |

 I am not aware of any Serono study in the US that is currently enrolling HIV+ patients with fat increases. There are studies looking at growth hormone releasing factor (THERA is one manufacturer-based in Canada) for treatment of HIV treatment related fat redistribtion that will be opening soon in the US and Canada. Your HIV provider should be able to link you up with a participating site. www.aidsinfo.nih.gov lists many HIV studies open in the US though I don't know if the THERA study is yet registered with that site.
