| Supplements for lipo Jul 6, 2005 Thanks very much for making this invaluable site available. My question is in regards to slowing/stopping the effects of lipodystrophy. I'l preface this by adding that I workout aggresively with freeweights 2-3 times/week. Do you think it's at all possible to slow/stop lipo by taking creatine monohydrate or protein powder supplements? My weight has always stayed between 230-240# it's just that I've just noticed size loss especially in my shoulders but also an overall body "morphing" that's slow progressing but extremely frustrating. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks again. |

Response from Dr. Henry
I have seen no data that demonstrates that using creatine or protein powder clearly will help lipodystrophy. Exercise, diet, aand attention to hormone status may help some. Uridine supplements are being evaluated for lipoatrophy. KH | |||||||||
