| HIV and Malaria prevention medication Jun 2, 2005 Hello, just a question, I have plans to travel to Africa, I was recommended to take anti-malaria medications to prevent malaria infection while travelling. I take Combivir and Sustiva, is there a side effect or problem by taking an preventive malaria medication that you are aware of? thanks a lot for your answer, regards, Marco |

Many of the standard drugs like chloroquine or doxycycline or mefloquine are usually OK with your HIV meds. Which drugs need to be used depends on the region you are traveling to. KH | |||||||||
