| Resistance and still working Feb 24, 2005 HIV for 25 years, resistance to most drugs but combovir and virramune still work, how is that possible if i'm resistant to them? |

If you have been documented to have a HIV strain with resistance and yet are fully suppressed on Viramune/Combivir then you are fortunate since that is unusual so it would be difficult without more information to discuss why or how part of your question. Your virus may not actually be resistant or it may not be very fit or you may have some natural (genetic) ability to fight off the virus --those factors and others may partially explain your situation.
