o.k. I recently inquired about swollen glands... I found out that mine are salivary/parotid... is there any help for this condition? thanks for your help

Response from Dr. Conway

A few things come to mind. It is possible to get a bacterial infection of the parotid gland, and this can be easily treated with antibiotics. With HIV, there is also a condition where lymphocytes infiltrate the parotid gland. Treating the HIV itself (with HAART) often helps this. Some patients also require low-dose radiation therpay, which works quite well.
