|side effects of fuzeon
Sep 22, 2004
I would like to know the side effects of fuzeon apart from local skin reactions. Lipodistrophy? Neuropathy? Liver? Any GI effects? Any others that I should be aware of? Can it be paired with viread and emtriva or with truvada? Thank you.
Response from Dr. Henry
The systemic side effects of Fuzeon have been very limited(which would be expected since it stays outside of the cell. Local reactions are common and annoying but tolerated in most patients.Fuzeon can be used with the drugs you mentioned though it is best to put together the most active possible background regimen to optimize the benefit of Fuzeon.
