| Have you used fenofibrate to treat hypertrigyceridemia? Aug 17, 2004 Do you think fenofibrate is effective for treating hypertriglyceridemia in people taking HAART? I read a little study about it http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15201643 |

Response from Dr. Henry
Fenofibrate is modestly effective in most situations. May be better if coupled with diet/exercise program and if still the triclycerides are high then perhaps adding a statin carefully. KH | |||||||||
