can I take all these meds
Jul 17, 2004

my current meds are: fuzeon,videxec,kaletra,reyataz,ziagen,3tc,viread,dexadrine, effexor-my viral load is undectable-My Doctor just added; crestor and neurontin-do you think I can take all these meds and still feel well. I need them all but the number of meds seems daunting-how can a person's body handle all these??? I appreciate you thoughts on this-I am concerned about taking so many meds.

Response from Dr. Henry

There is alot of variability regarding whether some patients can tolerated all of those meds-some can and some can't. I have numerous patients who take a regimen such as the one you outlined and do OK with it so it is possible-but daunting. I often tell my patients that no lab rat has ever been given that many chemicals and studied so we have to simply keep our eyes/ears open for problems and problem solve if an issue develops. KH

less potent less toxic combinations
double dosing
