timing of drugs
Nov 1, 2003

Hi I am on sustiva, zerit and epivir. I take the zerit and epivir twice a day.

How close to 12 hours apart is it necessary to take the drugs twice a day? is there any flexibility without the risk of building resistance. is an hour or two early or late likely to cause problems

regards Mike

Response from Dr. Conway

It's hard to say for sure, but taking them 1-2 hours late (or ealry) is very unlikely to make a difference, especially if your viral load is already low or undetectable.
