leakage on radiation burn on anus Oct 22, 2003 my son has has radiation on anus ,he has a leakage that smells and has direhha,he had a abecees drained up above his anus,which it has not healed yet tehy gave him rdiation for earlier skin cancer he is in very much pain.there is is a small dot on his one anal cheel where the dranage is comung out and it is swollen and feel hard. can ypu tell me what do you think is going on? |

 You don't mention what is HIV status is and what HIV meds he is also taking. The situation you described would be typical for an absess complicating treatment of anal/skin cancer. His oncologist/GI doc/HIV specialsit/infectious disease doc needs to continue to evaluate and offer treatment suggestions if the local infections/problems continue. | ||||||||
