Update on patches on palms
Mar 11, 2001

Dear Dr Henry,

Thank you for your quick response to my question.

I am HIV positive and was diagnosed in 1987. My last CD4 count was end of January and then it was 59. My latest viral load was 400 000.

As far as I know I have never been exposed to syphilis and as I have been in a monogomous relationship for the past ten years I should have known by now if that was the case.

According to my dr there is some peripheral neoropathy.

Thanks for doing a wonderful job.

Ian

Response from Dr. Henry

Can you describe the color and distribution of the patches for me once again. Do they itch or hurt? Is the surface rough, flaky, or smooth? Nothing similar on soles of feet? Does the neuropathy involve your feet or feet and hands at all? KH
