PostNasal Drip Symptoms Mar 7, 2001 I got a cold in early January and was clearing my throat for 4 or 5 weeks and then I got sick again and am still clearing my throat.  Persistent symptoms such as you are descibing may indicate that you have a sinusitis, which is an infection of the nasal sinuses, or another chronic infection. You should see your doctor for an evaluation. Patients with HIV may have more problems with sinusitis than uninfected patients. BB | ||
