sir inspite of all steps i.e combination therapy+c-section+ stopped brest milk +post AZT syrup(not given neverapine) therapy to my kid failed(it seems).after 3 months his pcr test showed 'detected'. now his age is 3 yrs growing normally absolutly not showing any hiv symptoms.my doctor saying he will be -ve & your team also suggeted the same thing.he has not given polio drops.whether oral polio drops are attinuated or not. shall i give it to him. how can be a pcr +ve turns -ve in kids.can u explain this phenomena. i am afraiding to take pcr again to my son.If he is really infected from mother how long it takes to go into sysmptomatic phase.

I would get a routine HIV antibody test first and make sure that he is seen by someone experienced with HIV in kids.
