hi, may i know what is a swollen lymph nodes?? where's that located, is there a picture on that? and when does that will happen after the exposure.Thank you, and hope for your kind answer.
Response from Dr. Boyle
Lymph nodes are involved in the immune system and are located throughout the body, notably in the groin, armpits and neck. Many things can cause them to become swollen, but infections are probably the primary reason. When swollen, they may feel like small peas to lima beans underneath the skin (although they are occasionally larger). The acute seroconversion syndrome generally occurs within 2 to 6 weeks of the exposure, although some occur before and after that period. BB
