Recurrent Sinusitis = HIV? Mar 6, 2002 Dr. Henry, I have been fighting recurrent sinusitis over the past 3 months. I am concerned because several Physicians have said Sinusitis is one of the most common infections in HIV+ individuals. I tested negative 5 1/2 months after my last exposure but my sinus problems have me rethinking my status. What do you recommend? |

 Chronic or recurrent sinusitis is not a good indicator condition for new HIV infection= I would not worry about your sinus problems as a signal for HIV infection. Sinus problems are very common and often very challenging. You should discuss with your primary care doc and/or consider seeing an ENT doc if persistent. KH | ||||||||
