|Itchy swollen painful legs -17 weeks negative
Jan 2, 2001
I tested negative at 17 weeks and there is still "work" ahead until I reach the CDC recommended window period BUT
BUT and here is my question- When I have received optimistic test results the test site counselor thinks that something else is going on. when I told my dr she told me I was delusional and told me to see a shrink.... BUT here it is -can you help me in any way to steer me in the right direction?
my legs look swollen and feel as though there is a neuropathy going on and when I am lying still they itch and sometimes there is a pin-sized rash on the thighs. I have searched a Merck manual and the only thing I can come up with is lymphdema-I do this because the medical experts are not helping me in my small town and I am crazy with fear.

Your symptoms would be extremely unlikely to be HIV related. I would suggest that you see a good internal medicine specialist or a skin specialist (dermatologist). KH
